Imperial Stout

There are few styles of beer more flavorful than Imperial Stout.
Originating during the heyday of British dark ale production, this beer style’s name alludes to its export to the Baltic and Scandinavian countries, and its favor among the Czars. Brewed strong to better survive the journey, these rich beers were well–suited to the long nights and cold winters of Scandinavia and the Baltic.

Our Black Cauldron Stout is named for Yellowstone ‘s Black Dragon Cauldron, in the Mud Volcano area, where hot water blasts through simmering black mud.

This thick, rich ale was brewed with plenty of caramel and roasted malts and subtly spiced with American Chinook and Willamette hops. It boasts flavors of chocolate and coffee, along with raisins and dried fruit soaked in sherry. This is a strong beer, best enjoyed in moderation, and paired with full-flavored grilled meats or with chocolate.

7.5% alcohol by volume.
